What cookies and similar technology are

Cookies are small files stored on a device. Similar browser storage can remember choices or help a site work securely. This page explains the technologies used by the public Content Table website.

Essential technology

The service uses security and session technology when you sign in. It also stores a small browser cookie called tct_analytics_consent_v1 to remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics. This preference is used only for that purpose, is shared across The Content Table’s subdomains so your choice can follow you from the public website to registration, and remains for up to one year unless you change it.

Tag Assistant preview troubleshooting

When a site owner deliberately starts a Google Tag Assistant Preview session with its _dbg=1 signal, we create a short-lived technical cookie called tct_preview_eligibility_v1. It contains only the value 1, is shared across The Content Table’s subdomains so the test can reach registration, and expires after five minutes or is removed as soon as it is used. It does not enable analytics, identify a visitor or record registration details; it only permits the isolated test frame to remain available briefly for Tag Assistant inspection.

Optional flyer attribution

If you accept analytics and arrive with a tagged campaign link, we may store an exact approved, non-personal campaign label in tct_analytics_attribution_v1 for up to 90 days. It contains only a source, medium, campaign and optional content label — never names, email addresses, passwords, payment details or form answers. Before analytics loads, unexpected query-string values and URL fragments are removed from the public page URL. This lets a successful registration be connected to the campaign that led to it.

Optional analytics

If you click Accept analytics, we load Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. This helps us understand general website use and whether visitors came from a campaign such as a printed local flyer. Google may set analytics cookies such as _ga and _ga_*; their lifespan is controlled by Google and is commonly up to two years.

We do not use advertising, remarketing or social-media advertising pixels as part of this setup. We do not send registration form fields, passwords, payment details, names or email addresses to Google Analytics.

How to change your choice

You can accept or reject analytics in the banner when it appears, or change your mind at any time using the button below. Rejecting analytics does not stop you using the website or registering for The Content Table.
